Known as one of the best popping dancers and choreographers in the world, Nelson Ewande is also a master in Hip Hop, Footwork, Afro Latin, Drums and Tap Dances. He brilliantly mixes all these styles to his refined popping technique, making his moves unique and recognizable all over the world.
World Champion of several major dance competitions, Nelson owns more than a hundred champion awards, winning the biggest contests worldwide. He is the recordman of victories in the world’s biggest freestyle dance battle: the famous “Juste Debout”, which he won in 3 occasions, on 2010, 2016 and 2018 in front of 20 thousand people. He is also twice World Champion of the dance competition Fusion Concept, in 2012 and 2020; and twice World Championship of the famous competition “Summer Dance Forever” in the category of popping (2022, 2023).
Born and raised in Paris, with Cameroonese and Guyanese roots, Nelson became a professional dancer in 2007 and since then he has been performing as a dancer worldwide non-stop. He is also one of the most claimed judges for the biggest street-dance events like KOD, Hip Hop International or World Of Dance, etc. And, as one of the main names of the dance street scene, major artists and brands like Red Bull, Nike, etc. has contacted him to become the creative director of their shows and events.
As a choreographer, he works for major artists like Matt Pokora, Dr Dre, Sexion d'assaut, Yuzmv or the NRJ Music Awards, and is a producer and artistic director of many dance events, festivals and popular parties like House of Hip Hop or Blesh Party. He is also a movement model, model and dancer for brands like Carharrt, Benetton, Nike China or Redbull.
